Due to traffic management regulations - a time limit of 5 hours applies for this event. There are also points on the course that have to be passed within certain time contstraints (these are a little more relaxed than last year):

You are totally responsible for your own safety during the ride!
- As we are using public roads ALL normal road rules must be obeyed
- Strict policing of these will be carried out and enforced
- You will be riding on three major state highways, so extra care is required
- Be careful at intersections
After the Race
Prize giving is at the Memorial Hall - 1:30pm - including spot prizes. (You must be present to be eligible for a prize). Hot food and drink will be available.
Major Spot Prizes
Ensrure you place your race number in the spot prize box when you finish. These will be used to draw the major spot prizes at 1:30pm. The two main prizes are a Samsung 32" LCD TV valued at $1400 (donated by Coca Cola/Pump), and a weekend trip for two at the Bay of Many Coves Resort. You must be there to claim prizes. Any unclaimed prizes will be redrawn on the day.

Minor Spot Prizes
When you finish the course, check the minor spot prize board to see if you have won. You can claim your prize from the prize table on the day, it will be located close to the finish area.
Supporters vehicles will not be allowed to follow this event.
However - all supporters are encouraged to leave the start ahead of the event and proceed to the top of the Paekakariki hill to witness the largest number of cyclists ever climbing this famous hill. This climb will be closed to traffic when the riders come through - so if you want to view the spectacle - please aim to be in place on the hill by 8.30. Once the riders have come through - the idea would be to return to Waikanae to view the finish.
